VP, Operations

To support our company’s ongoing growth, Caframo is seeking to recruit a VP of Operations.

Reporting to the President and working closely with Caframo’s executive leadership team, the VP of Operations will be the owner of all Production and Supply Chain processes for Caframo’s consumer and laboratory divisions. As the VP of Operations, you will lead the development and implementation of operational strategies for the business – optimizing resources, cost control, and lean manufacturing as you take the company to the next stage in its growth.

What You Will be Doing:

As the VP of Operations, you will be a key member of a highly collaborative leadership team as you oversee and lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to support corporate objectives and guide all aspects of the manufacturing and supply chain.

In alignment with corporate goals and strategies, you will be responsible for achieving operational sustainability and profitability by providing direction, leadership, and support to the production and supply chain teams. You will be responsible for being highly effective and driving standards in quality, lean manufacturing, on-time delivery, supply chain innovation, logistics management, cost control, and operational efficiencies.

The results of your work will build upon your strong foundations in manufacturing process, lean manufacturing implementation, supply chain efficiencies, quality management, facilities management, supporting the new product development process, and ensuring the delivery of great quality products on time and on budget, today and in the future.

What You Bring:

  • University degree in related field (engineering or business); or comparable industry experience.
  • 10+ years in diversified operations, production, and supply chain experience above Director level.
  • Must have managed managers and/or directors in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to quickly develop a detailed working knowledge of industrial/engineering products, processes, and technologies.
  • Experience in a mid-sized manufacturing business.
  • History of decision-making and goal setting based on business metrics.
  • Track record of attracting, scaling, and building high performing teams.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience in developing, coaching, teaching, and empowering production and supply chain leaders and professionals.
  • A team player with strong relationship building and communication skills with experience working collaboratively with teams at all levels.
  • A positive attitude!

Operations Leadership Experience:

  • Experience in supply chain oversight, including purchasing, sourcing, inventory, logistics optimization.
  • Experience in delivering manufacturing and CAPEX projects on time and budget.
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of production.
  • Experience in agile and flexible manufacturing environments.

NPD Integration Experience:

  • Ability to quickly develop a detailed working knowledge of consumer, laboratory, industrial, and other products and deliver the products on time and on budget.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with engineering and Stage Gate development teams is an advantage.
