VP, Business Development

To support our ongoing growth, Caframo is seeking to recruit a VP of Business Development.

Reporting into the President and working closely with Caframo’s executive leadership team, the VP of Business Development will be the owner of Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and the New Product Development (NPD) Process for Caframo’s consumer and laboratory divisions. As the VP of Business Development, you will lead the creation and execution of the business development vision and growth strategies to support expansion, drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives.

What You Will be Doing:

As VP of Business Development, you will be a key member of a highly collaborative leadership team, overseeing all sales, marketing, engineering, and new product development activities. In alignment with corporate goals and strategies, you will be responsible for achieving sustainable and profitable sales growth by providing direction and support to the sales teams as well as through direct work with key channel partners on a global scale.

You will oversee marketing programs and the development and implementation of go-to market strategies including the customer journey, market feedback, value proposition, and competitive analysis; and work with the marketing teams to drive brand awareness and favourability with key stakeholders.

Your goal is to achieve company targets for leadership and innovation in new products, taking Caframo to the next stage in its growth trajectory. You will be the owner of the New Product Development Process, driving the processes for allocation of resources, and the selection of NPD projects.

What You Bring:

  • University degree in a related field (business, marketing, or engineering); or comparable industry experience.
  • 10+ years in diversified sales, marketing, product development and/or engineering leadership roles, driving and implementing profitable revenue growth.
  • Experience in a mid-sized business with multiple business lines, verticals, and channels on a global basis.
  • Proven experience developing and executing growth strategy.
  • History of decision-making and goal setting based on business metrics.
  • Leadership experience in developing, coaching, teaching, and empowering sales, marketing, and engineering leaders and professionals.
  • A team player with strong relationship building and communication skills with experience working collaboratively with teams at all levels.
  • A positive attitude!

Sales and Marketing Leadership Experience:

  • Experience in global B2B sales, selling to retailers, OEMs, e-commerce, and distributors.
  • Experience leading the marketing, communications, and branding of an organization.
  • High proficiency with a variety of sales and marketing tools and practices.
  • History of decision-making and goal setting based on business metrics.
  • Track record of scaling businesses and building high performing teams.

NPD Experience:

  • Experience in new product development and the stage-gate process of product development.
  • Ability to quickly develop a detailed working knowledge of consumer, laboratory, industrial, and other products.
  • Experience in integrating end-user insights with genuine innovation.
