Product Development Engineer
Being a Caframo Product Development Engineer encompasses a full range of activities from initial concept design, tooling development and manufacturing to ongoing quality improvement. You will work in a small, passionate company, with the freedom to use your creativity to have a significant impact. The ideal candidate has demonstrated they work well in a team which includes engineering, marketing, and outside vendors. Other required skills and knowledge for this position include:
Minimum Requirements:
- Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 to 7 years experience designing product
- Technical skill in Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics and/or Mechanical Design
- Skilled in technical research
- Project management experience
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
Skills Considered Assets:
- Education or experience in Electrical or Process Engineering
- Experience with small appliance product development
- Test design, FEMA, 3D Parametric Modeling

Testing Technician
Caframo offers many exciting opportunities and challenging projects in the areas of mechanical engineering, aeronautics/fluid dynamics, thermodynamics,
electronics, industrial design and more. As part of the engineering product development team the Testing Technician is responsible for conducting and monitoring
tests, collecting and recording test data and coordinating the use and maintenance of Caframo's testing facilities and equipment. In this role you will also
perform various administrative functions and other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you must be reliable, team oriented, multi-task capable, and have excellent problem-solving skills. You must be willing to
work in various environments and have demonstrated the ability to work in a team and on your own. Other required skills and knowledge for this position
include:
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a testing lab or similar setting
- Comprehensive understanding of testing equipment and measurement devices
- Completion of a college level Engineering Technology program or at least two (2) years of a University Engineering program
- Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent Communication Skills
Skills Considered Assets:
- Familiarity with Solidworks, Pro E, CFD Modeling, MS Project or Epicor
- Previous manufacturing and/or production assembly work experience
